‘Bridging Time & Imagination’  is a captivating group exhibition that not only showcases the contemporary Cyanotype print but also pays homage to its fascinating origins.                                                                        The Cyanotype process, first discovered by Sir John Herschel in 1842, opened up a new world of possibilities in the realm of photography and image-making. Its distinctively ethereal blue hues have enchanted artists and photographers for generations.                                        In this exhibition, we delve into the rich history of Cyanotypes and celebrate their enduring allure. As you journey through the exhibit, you'll observe the innovative ways in which the artists have harnessed this time-honoured technique, from bold experimental works to delicate, intricate compositions, the works on display demonstrate the versatility and enduring relevance of the Cyanotype in the contemporary art world.                                                                  While viewing, we invite you to reflect on the process's humble beginnings. Sir John Herschel's groundbreaking discovery, initially intended as a simple method for reproducing notes and diagrams, (going on to be known as the ‘blue print’), has since evolved into an expressive art form that continues to intrigue and inspire all. “Bridging Time and Imagination" is not only a celebration of the past and present but also an invitation to ponder the ever-evolving relationship between tradition and innovation.
